A major initiative to strengthen educational infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh has received support from the Amara Bacchu Charitable Trust. The trust has announced financial assistance of ₹5 crore for the development of government schools and junior colleges in Bogolu mandal of Nellore district.
Managing Trustee Bacchu Krishna Kumar and his wife met Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli and informed him about the trust’s commitment to improving educational facilities in the region. During the meeting, they officially announced the ₹5 crore contribution to enhance infrastructure in government educational institutions in Bogolu mandal.
The development works will be carried out under the “Mana Badi – Mana Bhavishyathu” initiative, which is part of the P-4 programme introduced by the coalition government to strengthen public education and empower underprivileged communities. The programme focuses on improving basic facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, and other essential infrastructure in government schools.
During their interaction, the trust representatives also invited Nara Lokesh to attend the foundation-laying ceremony for the upcoming development projects in Bogolu mandal. The minister welcomed the initiative and appreciated the role of philanthropic organisations and donors in supporting the government’s efforts to transform public education.
The “Mana Badi – Mana Bhavishyathu” programme aims to encourage participation from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), philanthropists, and alumni in the development of government schools. The government is also planning to allow educational institutions to be named after donors who contribute to their development. A dedicated website for the programme will soon be launched to facilitate transparent participation and monitoring of development works.
In addition to the educational initiatives, the Amara Bacchu Charitable Trust has also announced further contributions to support healthcare and temple development in the region. The trust will provide ₹5 crore for the development of the Primary Health Centre in Kovvurupalli village of Bogolu mandal. Another ₹5 crore has been allocated for the development of the Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple located in Kondabitragunta.
With these contributions, the trust aims to support education, healthcare, and cultural infrastructure in rural areas, while complementing the government’s development initiatives in Nellore district. The announcement has drawn attention as a significant example of private philanthropy supporting public welfare and community development in Andhra Pradesh.
