భారత్-యూకే సహకారం కొత్త శిఖరాలకు తీసుకెళ్లబోతున్నాయని ప్రధాని మోడీ ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ముంబైలో ఇండియా-యూకే సీఈవో ఫోరమ్‌లో ఇరు దేశాల ద్వైపాక్షిక సంబంధాలపై చర్చించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రధాని మోడీ మాట్లాడారు. ‘‘అణు విద్యుత్ రంగాన్ని ప్రైవేట్ రంగానికి తెరుస్తున్నామని ప్రకటించడానికి సంతోషంగా ఉన్నాను. ఇవన్నీ భారతదేశం-యూకే సహకారాన్ని కొత్త శిఖరాలకు తీసుకెళ్లడానికి ఉపయోగపడతాయి. ఈ అభివృద్ధి ప్రయాణంలో భారతదేశంలో చేరాలని నేను మిమ్మల్ని ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాను.’’ అని మోడీ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

ఇరు దేశాల మధ్య సుమారు 56 బిలియన్ల వాణిజ్యం కుదిరింది. 2030 నాటికి రెట్టింపు చేయాలని లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నారు. అయితే లక్ష్యాన్ని అనుకున్నదానికంటే ముందుగానే సాధించగలమన్న నమ్మకం ఉందని మోడీ అన్నారు.
మౌలిక సదుపాయాల అభివృద్ధి తమకు ప్రాధాన్యత అని తెలిపారు. 2030 నాటికి 500 గిగావాట్ల పునరుత్పాదక శక్తి లక్ష్యం వైపు వేగంగా ముందుకు సాగుతున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. భారతదేశం-యూకే కలిసి ప్రపంచ ప్రమాణాలను నిర్దేశిస్తాయని పేర్కొన్నారు. ‘‘నేడు భారత ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలో విస్తృతమైన సంస్కరణలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. సమ్మతిని తగ్గిస్తూనే వ్యాపార సౌలభ్యాన్ని మెరుగుపరచడంపై బలమైన దృష్టి ఉంది. ఇటీవల జీఎస్‌టి సంస్కరణను ప్రకటించాము. ఇది మధ్యతరగతి, ఎంఎస్‌ఎంఇల వృద్ధి కథకు కొత్త ఉత్సాహాన్ని ఇస్తుంది. అందరికీ అవకాశాలను కూడా విస్తరిస్తుంది.’’ అని మోడీ తెలిపారు.

భారతదేశంలో తొమ్మిది యూకే విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల క్యాంపస్‌లను ప్రారంభిస్తున్నాయని.. ఇది కూడా ధైర్యాన్నిస్తుంది. భవిష్యత్తులో విద్యాసంస్థలు, పరిశ్రమల మధ్య భాగస్వామ్యం ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థకు అతిపెద్ద శక్తిగా మారుతుంది. నేడు టెలికాం, ఏఐ, బయోటెక్, క్వాంటం, సెమీకండక్టర్లు, సైబర్, అంతరిక్షం వంటి రంగాలలో సహకారం కోసం లెక్కలేనన్ని కొత్త అవకాశాలు ఉద్భవిస్తున్నాయి. రక్షణలో సహ-రూపకల్పన, సహ-ఉత్పత్తి వైపు కూడా కదులుతున్నాము. ఈ అవకాశాలన్నింటినీ కాంక్రీట్ సహకారాలుగా మార్చడానికి మన ప్రయత్నాలను వేగవంతం చేయాల్సిన సమయం ఇది’’ అని మోడీ చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.
