Jana Nayagan is the last attempt of Vijay as an actor as he decided to take a full time career in Tamil politics. Jana Nayagan is made on a budget of Rs 500 crores and the film is stuck with censor hurdles. The film’s grand release during Sankranthi season has been put on hold and the makers are in real financial stress. The makers are not ready to compromise and they are not ready to remove some of the episodes and dialogues from the film. The officials of the Censor Board argued that some of the dialogues and visuals may disturb the religious sentiments of the people. The Madras High Court did not offer a relief for the team of Jana Nayagan.
The biggest question is if the makers will compromise and remove the suggested episodes from the film to clear the hurdles. Speculations say that Vijay has strictly instructed the makers not to compromise and remove the sensational episodes from the film. Some of the scenes are written considering the political debut of Vijay. The latest developments say that the issue will not get resolved soon. Reports also say that Jana Nayagan may be postponed to a later date and the film may release only after the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
If KVN Productions are ready for the changes, Jana Nayagan is expected to hit the screens in February. The decision is completely in the hands of the producers.
