Marking International Women’s Day, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan extended greetings to women and highlighted the importance of dignity, safety and empowerment for women in building a strong nation.
In a message shared through the official handle of the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister’s Office, Pawan Kalyan said International Women’s Day is an occasion to celebrate the strength, dignity and achievements of women who play a vital role in shaping families, society and the nation. He noted that India has revered women since the times of the Puranas as embodiments of Shakti, symbolising strength, wisdom and resilience.
Referring to the present leadership of the country, he said that the legacy of respecting women continues today with Droupadi Murmu serving as the first citizen of India. He described it as a reflection of the nation’s recognition of women’s leadership and contributions.
Pawan Kalyan emphasised that the true progress of any nation should be measured by the dignity, safety and empowerment of its women. According to him, empowering women and ensuring equal opportunities for them are essential steps toward building a progressive and inclusive society.
Calling for collective responsibility, he urged people to celebrate the strength of women, support their aspirations and work together to create an environment where every woman can rise, lead and achieve her dreams.
