The makers of the upcoming Telugu film Rākāsā have unveiled the movie’s second single “Padhe Padhe” at a vibrant launch event held at St. Peter’s Engineering College in Hyderabad. The event witnessed an energetic response from students and fans as producer Niharika Konidela, lead actors Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika, and music composer Anudeep Dev attended the gathering and introduced the romantic track to the audience.
Speaking at the event, Niharika Konidela shared the concept behind the song and explained how it presents a fresh perspective on love. She said that in many songs women are often portrayed as begging for love, but “Padhe Padhe” takes a different approach. According to her, the song reflects the idea that women do not beg for love but instead become love themselves. She also described Rākāsā as a wholesome family entertainer that blends fantasy, adventure, emotional moments and plenty of comedy, making it suitable for audiences of all age groups.
Music composer Anudeep Dev expressed his excitement about the response from the crowd and spoke about the musical theme of the song. He explained that while the film’s first single “Rapappa” had a playful vibe aimed at boys, “Padhe Padhe” is designed from the perspective of girls and explores their emotions in love. He described the song as a beautiful melody and added that audiences can expect more exciting music from the film. He also encouraged everyone to watch Rākāsā in theatres when it releases.
Actress Nayan Sarika shared her personal reaction to the track and said she instantly connected with it when she first heard it. She revealed that the song stayed on loop for her because of its relatable theme. According to her, girls often find it difficult when boys fail to understand subtle hints in love, and the song reflects that emotional experience. She also thanked the audience at the event for their enthusiastic support.
Actor Sangeeth Sobhan spoke about how he came on board for the project and what impressed him about the story. He recalled that director Manasa Sharma narrated the film to him after the success of MAD Square. When he asked about the unique element of the story, the director jokingly replied that he himself was the USP of the film. Sangeeth said the discussion about audiences expecting better-quality films strongly resonated with him and convinced him to take up the project. With his trademark humour, he added that since he is part of the film, viewers can expect plenty of comedy. He also pointed out that while “Rapappa” had a playful tone, “Padhe Padhe” focuses on the emotional side of love and highlights how romantic hints are often misunderstood.
Musically, “Padhe Padhe” adds a gentle romantic layer to the film’s soundtrack. The song is sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan, composed by Anudeep Dev and written by lyricist Kittu Vissapragada. The melody carries a soft emotional tone that reflects the growing feelings between the lead characters and introduces a tender mood to the musical journey of Rākāsā. After the energetic first single “Rapappa,” the new track offers a more emotional glimpse into the story.
The promotional content of Rākāsā has been gaining steady attention online. The film’s title glimpse has crossed 1.9 million views, while the teaser has generated strong engagement with over 2.8 million views. The first single “Rapappa” also received a positive response from listeners, crossing 1.1 million views on YouTube. With the release of “Padhe Padhe,” the film’s music album is gradually revealing different emotional shades and building curiosity among audiences.
Rākāsā stars Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles and features a supporting cast that includes Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi and Getup Srinu. The film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma, known for her work on Oka Chinna Family Story and Bench Life. It is produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner in collaboration with Zee Studios, with Umesh Kumar Bansal associated with the project.
On the technical side, the film features music by Anudeep Dev, cinematography by Raju Edurolu and editing by Anwar Ali. The songs from the movie are being released under the Saregama label.
Apart from its domestic release, Rākāsā is also preparing for a wide international rollout. The film will be released in more than 350 overseas screens through Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, covering key markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and Australia. The distribution in North America will be handled by Prathyangira Cinemas.
With the promotional campaign gaining momentum and its music attracting attention across platforms, Rākāsā is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026. The makers hope that the film’s blend of romance, fantasy, humour and family-friendly storytelling will strike a chord with audiences in theatres.
