Dhurandhar The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has reportedly delivered a historic opening weekend at the global box office. As per the official figures released by the makers, the film has grossed a massive ₹761 crore worldwide in just four days, positioning it as the biggest opening weekend ever for an Indian film.
The makers stated that the film witnessed extraordinary advance bookings and record-breaking occupancy across multiple territories, driven by strong anticipation for the sequel. They highlighted that the film recorded houseful shows across key circuits and maintained a consistent upward trend in collections throughout the opening weekend.
According to the official data shared by the production team, the film collected ₹145 crore (India nett) along with ₹52 crore overseas on its opening day including paid previews. On Day 2 (Friday), the film reportedly earned ₹83 crore (India nett) and ₹46 crore overseas. Day 3 (Saturday) saw a significant jump with ₹117 crore (India nett) and ₹58 crore overseas, while Day 4 (Sunday) registered ₹121 crore (India nett) and ₹56 crore overseas.
Based on these figures, the makers announced that the film’s total India nett collections stand at ₹466 crore, which translates to approximately ₹550 crore gross in India. Overseas collections were reported at ₹211 crore, taking the overall worldwide gross to ₹761 crore for the opening weekend.
The production house further claimed that Dhurandhar The Revenge has set several all-time records, including the highest advance bookings, biggest paid previews, and the highest opening weekend collections for an Indian film. The makers also stated that the film is the fastest to cross ₹300 crore domestically and recorded the highest number of ticket sales per hour on BookMyShow.
On the international front, the team claimed that the film achieved the highest overseas opening weekend for an Indian release and registered the biggest single-day collections on a Saturday. They also noted that the film was released across 2200 cinemas and 3000 screens overseas, making it one of the widest international releases for a Hindi film, including in non-traditional markets such as Uruguay, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Chile, Mexico, and Cyprus.
