In a significant outreach to party cadres, Nara Lokesh, National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party and Minister for Education and IT, held a warm and interactive meeting with the top 10 performers of the ‘My TDP App’ at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri. The interaction, marked by appreciation and motivation, highlighted the party’s focus on recognizing grassroots efforts and strengthening its organizational structure.
Addressing the gathering, Lokesh emphasized that acknowledging hard work has always been a core principle of the party. He noted that the participants had reached this level purely because of their dedication and performance. Calling the Telugu Desam Party a strong and evolving system, he said every worker plays a vital role in its growth and success.
Lokesh expressed confidence that committed party workers could rise to the highest levels, even sharing space with party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in the future. He stressed that the party’s longevity depends on how effectively its programs are implemented at the grassroots level. “If we execute the party’s initiatives sincerely, the party will remain strong even after 100 years,” he said, urging members to place the party above individuals.
The minister also reiterated his commitment to internal reforms, stating that the party believes in empowering its cadre. “A party worker is the real leader,” he remarked, adding that even a village-level president should have the opportunity to grow up to the Politburo level through merit and dedication.
Focusing on electoral success, Lokesh advised the participants to actively take the party’s ideology to the people. He stressed that collective effort is key to achieving the desired political change and called for continuous engagement with the public. Referring to resolutions made at the Kadapa Mahanadu, he urged workers to widely promote the six key policy decisions among the masses.
He also announced plans to conduct year-round training sessions to help cadres better understand and communicate the party’s vision. Drawing a contrast with the previous administration led by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Lokesh said the current leadership prioritizes direct interaction with party workers. He highlighted that regular meetings are being held with cadres during constituency visits and that a dedicated day each week is set aside at the party office to listen to their concerns.
In a notable mention, Lokesh recalled how the government amended laws to provide a job to the son of a party worker who sacrificed his life, underlining the party’s commitment to its supporters. He encouraged all members to remain active at the grassroots level and effectively communicate party programs and ideology to the public.
The meeting concluded with Lokesh honoring the top performers for their effective use of the ‘My TDP App’ and their active participation in party initiatives. Each of them was felicitated and presented with a special memento of N. T. Rama Rao. The participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity, calling it a memorable experience and reaffirming their commitment to the party’s mission.
