The team of Akhand 2: Taandavam launched the powerful first single “The Taandavam” with a grand event held at PVR Mall, Juhu, Mumbai. The film brings back the blockbuster combination of “God of the Masses” Nandamuri Balakrishna, hit-machine director Boyapati Sreenu, and music director S. Thaman. Produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, the film is presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri.
The full song received a massive response from fans and audiences. Thaman delivered a high-voltage, divine track filled with intense percussion and spiritual energy. The visuals show Balakrishna in a fierce Aghora avatar performing a powerful Shiva Taandavam in a massive temple courtyard, giving a strong goosebumps experience. Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher’s dynamic vocals added an extraordinary divine depth to the song, while lyricist Kalyan Chakravarthy brought the power of Lord Shiva beautifully into words.
The film features Samyuktha in a key role, Aadhi Pinisetty in a strong character, and Harshaali Malhotra in an important part. Cinematography is handled by C. Ram Prasad and Santosh D Detakae, editing by Tammiraju, and art direction by AS Prakash. Akhand 2: Taandavam is set for a global release on December 5, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Balakrishna thanked the media, fans, and everyone who attended. He offered his respects to his parents and said their blessings guide him every step. He said he continues to follow the path shown by his legendary father and serves the people as the MLA of Hindupur and as the Chairman of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. He added that completing 50 years as a leading actor is a blessing, and there is no “second innings” in his dictionary. Balakrishna stated that the strength of Sanatana Hindu Dharma will be seen in Akhand 2 and urged everyone to live with truth and stand against injustice.
He praised the long-standing hit collaborations with Boyapati Sreenu and Thaman, and expressed happiness that Harshaali Malhotra and Aadhi Pinisetty are part of the film. He said every parent should show this film to their children to understand the essence of Sanatana Dharma. Starting promotions from Mumbai, he expressed confidence that Akhand 2 will be a spectacular theatrical experience.
Director Boyapati Sreenu said the film is not just a movie but the soul of India, representing its dharma, culture, and Vedic spirit. He said families can watch it together and that the visuals were shot in extreme conditions, including –12°C temperatures, guided by the blessings of Lord Shiva. He called this their biggest film and promised a grand experience in theatres.
Music director Thaman praised Balakrishna as loyal, royal, and a true legend whose service to society is unmatched. He said every film with Balakrishna teaches him something and promised that Akhand 2 will surpass the first part. He assured that the interval block and second half will be unforgettable.
Singer Kailash Kher expressed gratitude for being part of such a divine project. He said his career-changing moments came from South Indian cinema and that singing a Shiva Taandavam once again feels spiritually special.
Producer Gopi Achanta said the Mumbai event marks the beginning of their Pan-India promotions and promised that Akhand 2 will be one of the biggest blockbusters nationwide.
