Baahubali: The Epic, the recut and remastered version of the Baahubali franchise, is releasing on October 31. It includes both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Advance bookings started on Saturday. Only six theatres in Hyderabad were opened initially. Even then, around 5,000 to 6,000 tickets were sold in the first hour on Book My Show. This is higher than many recent new releases.
Tickets are selling not just for the first day. Opening weekend shows are filling fast too. A similar trend was seen during the original releases in 2015 and 2017. Trade analysts see this re-release potentially surpassing all previous re-releases.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali: The Epic stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah. It is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. Music is by MM Keeravani.
The re-release gives fans a chance to watch the franchise with a new experience. Many who missed it the first time are booking tickets now. The film’s popularity from a decade ago remains strong even today.
