The Andhra Pradesh Cashew Manufacturers Association met Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday and explained in detail the major challenges faced by the cashew industry, especially issues related to the Agriculture Market Committee (AMC). The representatives shared that the current AMC-related hurdles are affecting production, pricing, and smooth operations of cashew processing units across the state.
Association President Meduri Phani Raghavulu, along with members Mallakannan, Pratti Venkata Subbarao, Chunduri Venkata Ramana Subbarayulu, Maruthi, Partha and others, took part in this meeting. They appealed to the Chief Minister to address long-pending concerns that have been troubling cashew manufacturers and impacting the livelihood of thousands of workers.
After listening carefully to their grievances, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured that the government would thoroughly look into the problems and take positive steps. He emphasized that the cashew sector is an important part of the state’s agri-based economy and promised timely solutions.
During the meeting, the delegation also presented the new year calendar of the Vetapalem Datta Kshetram to the Chief Minister. He enquired about the temple’s activities and formally unveiled the calendar.
