Roshan and Anaswara Rajan starrer Champion backed by Swapna Cinemas, Anandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, with Zee Studios presenting and Pradeep Advaitham directing, is set for release on the 25th of this month. The trailer, in particular, generated strong buzz for the movie. The team celebrated Champion Night in Vizag.
As part of the promotions, the team celebrated Champion Night in Vizag. While Roshan’s father Srikanth attended the trailer launch event earlier, his mother Ooha graced the Vizag celebration. Speaking on the occasion, Ooha highlighted her son’s dedication to the film.
“Roshan spent nearly three years working on Champion and gave everything to the project. Our only concern was the number of injuries he sustained during the shoot,” she shared.
Addressing the gathering, Roshan said, “When Pradeep approached me with this film, I decided I wouldn’t take up any other project until Champion was completed. Swapna akka took Pradeep’s vision to the next level. She and her team specialize in period films and do extensive groundwork.
I’ve watched the edited version, and it has come out beautifully. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of this film under the Vyjayanthi banner. My parents have always taught me to believe in hard work and to be mindful of what I choose to work hard for. I waited three years, and that wait was worth it for Champion.”
Roshan further expressed his gratitude to the audience, saying, “I may not know how many films I’ll do each year, but I promise to give my 100% so your trust in me always feels justified. Your trust is my real success, and I’ll continue making films that prove Roshan delivers good cinema.”
Concluding on a confident note, he said, “I was honestly a bit nervous until recently. But after watching the trailer and the final edit, I’m confident this will be a sure-shot hit. If I ever make a mistake, I give you the freedom to criticize me, but I won’t give you that chance with Champion.”
Meanwhile, in a video released by the makers, Roshan is seen interacting with Indian cricketer Nithin Kumar Reddy. The Andhra team captain revealed that he would be watching Champion along with his team on December 27th.
