The murder case of former minister Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy has once again entered public debate after fresh remarks by MP Y. S. Avinash Reddy, one of the accused in the case. Avinash Reddy spoke about complainant Sunitha Reddy and claimed that several allegations made against him during the investigation were not related to the actual murder case.
He argued that such accusations were creating confusion around the investigation. Avinash Reddy also expressed confidence that the truth would eventually come out and maintained that the investigation would prove his innocence.
However, his comments have triggered legal and political discussions. The issue has gained attention because Avinash Reddy is currently out on bail. In serious criminal cases, courts often impose strict conditions while granting bail. These conditions usually include not influencing witnesses, not obstructing the investigation and avoiding public comments that could affect the case.
Meanwhile, the case was heard in the CBI Special Court on today. During the hearing, the CBI informed the court that complete case documents had been provided to the accused. The court directed the defence lawyers to file affidavits confirming the receipt of these documents before March 19. The matter was adjourned to Wednesday for further proceedings.
