Producer Nikhil M. Gowda is confident that Jinn, made with a completely new concept, will both scare and captivate audiences when it hits theatres on December 19. Backed by Sadalamma Film Productions and Bilva Studios, the film is directed by Chinmay Ram and stars Amit Rao, Parvez Simba, Prakash Tuminad, Ravi Bhatt, and Sangeetha in key roles. With its teaser and trailer already creating strong buzz, Jinn is emerging as one of the most anticipated suspense horror releases of the season.
Speaking to the media ahead of the release, Nikhil M. Gowda shared that his deep love for cinema began in childhood, largely influenced by Telugu films. Although he entered the industry with the dream of acting, his journey naturally led him to film production. He revealed that Jinn came to him through director Chinmay Ram, whom he met via mutual friends. The moment he heard the story, the fresh concept immediately impressed him and convinced him to back the project.
Shot along the Karnataka–Andhra border, Jinn explores an unfamiliar and intriguing concept that is not widely known to audiences. Nikhil said the fear and intensity he felt while listening to the narration translated perfectly onto the screen. He believes the film is designed to genuinely scare viewers while keeping them deeply engaged throughout.
Highlighting the film’s technical strengths, the producer praised Alex’s powerful background score and Sunil Honnali’s striking cinematography, calling them major assets that enhance the theatrical experience. He also commended director Chinmay Ram for bringing the vision to life with clarity and conviction, adding that the collective effort of the entire team resulted in a strong final product.
Nikhil M. Gowda appreciated the performances of all the actors, stating that Amit Rao, Parvez Simba, Prakash Tuminad, Ravi Bhatt, and Sangeetha delivered excellent performances and supported the project wholeheartedly during the shoot.
Describing Jinn as a completely new cinematic experience, the producer expressed hope that audiences would welcome this fresh attempt. He added that the film introduces viewers to a new world centered around the concept of a jinn, something rarely explored in Indian cinema. Looking ahead, Nikhil M. Gowda confirmed that he is currently listening to more stories and plans to continue producing films regularly in both Kannada and Telugu, focusing on unique and engaging concepts.
