Karmanye Vadhikaraste Review: “Promising Story, Partial Impact”

Ai generated article, credit to orginal website, November 1, 2025

Karmanye Vadhikaraste is a Telugu thriller directed by Amardeep Challapalli, who tries to blend crime, emotion, and moral struggle in one intense story. The movie focuses on how justice and truth can sometimes get lost in the chaos of corruption and crime.
It features senior actors like Brahmaji, Shatru, Prudhvi, and Master Mahendra, who bring their experience to the screen. The film also introduces a few fresh faces who play important roles in the dark, layered narrative. It’s a film that tries to deliver both mystery and message at the same time.
Story:
The movie begins with “30 Years Industry” Prudhvi, who accidentally knocks down a man with his car on a lonely road. He immediately reports the incident at a local police station. The case is investigated by Sub-Inspector Arjun Devineni (Shatru), who initially treats it as a regular accident. But as the investigation moves forward, strange clues start appearing — revealing that this is not an ordinary hit-and-run case.
At the same time, Brahmaji plays a suspended constable, struggling to regain his lost honour. While off duty, he stumbles upon a brutal rape case of a minor girl. Disturbed by the injustice, he secretly begins his own investigation, which slowly leads him to a bigger crime network involving illegal arms smuggling.
Adding to this tangled web, Master Mahendra appears as a playboy character who traps young women using charm and drugs. His actions are connected to the same criminal nexus that the police and Brahmaji are unknowingly chasing.
As the story progresses, these three tracks leads the narrative toward the central crime web that connects the threads. However, the film’s final act slightly loses its clarity and emotional punch.
Casting:
The film stars Brahmaji, Shatru, Master Mahendra, Prudhvi, Banerjee, Shivaji Raja, Ajay Ratnam, Sree Sudha, Krishnaa Bhat, Ira Dayanand, Ayesha, Rehana Khan, Jaya Rao, and Bahubali Madhu in key roles. Each of them adds a touch of realism to the film’s gritty atmosphere.
On-Screen Performances:
Brahmaji shines in a mature, emotional role. His controlled acting and strong dialogue delivery give weight to the emotional side of the story.
Shatru fits perfectly as the honest and serious police officer. His screen presence gives the investigation scenes a realistic tone.
Master Mahendra surprises with his slick and stylish performance. He brings freshness and unpredictability to the story.
Prudhvi plays a short but meaningful role that becomes the trigger point for the whole story.
Banerjee, Shivaji Raja, and others support the film well with natural performances that keep the tension alive throughout.
Off-Screen Performance:
Direction: Amardeep Challapalli tries to make a meaningful thriller that mixes emotion with suspense. He succeeds in creating a dark, tense environment and keeps the audience curious. However, the storytelling loses focus near the climax, leaving a few threads unresolved.
Screenplay: The screenplay is tight and engaging in the first half with several twists and turns. The pacing slows down in the second half, and a few scenes feel stretched.
BGM (Background Music): The background score plays a strong role in building tension. The intense music adds life to chase scenes and emotional moments.
DOP (Cinematography): The visuals are dark and stylish, matching the thriller tone. The camera work helps in maintaining suspense and realism.
Editing: The editing could have been sharper. A few scenes, especially in the mid-section, drag a little and could have been trimmed for better flow.
Production Values: The movie looks neat and well-produced despite a limited budget. The technical team has done a good job maintaining a consistent visual tone.
What’s Hot?

Gripping and layered storyline
Strong performances by Brahmaji and Shatru
Good music and background score
Realistic and intense atmosphere
Fresh treatment of multiple crime angles

What’s Not?

Slow narration in parts of the second half
A few unanswered questions in the climax
Some scenes feel repetitive
Emotional depth could have been stronger

Verdict:
Karmanye Vadhikaraste is a sincere attempt to deliver a dark, thought-provoking thriller. It has a good cast, a gripping setup, and solid performances. But the uneven narration and slightly confusing climax reduce its overall impact. Still, it deserves a watch for Brahmaji and Shatru’s performances, the tense atmosphere, and the realistic treatment of crime and justice. A decent one-time watch for thriller lovers who enjoy stories filled with mystery and moral conflict.
