Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the Sri Kanakavalli Sametha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at IS Jagannathapuram in Eluru district on Monday. He offered special prayers with flower rituals and had a peaceful darshan of the deity. Temple chairman Rajabahadur Nivritti Rao and EO V.S.N. Murthy welcomed him with a traditional Poorna Kumbham along with Vedic scholars. Pawan Kalyan walked around the temple, entered the sanctum, and received blessings along with sacred prasadam and a portrait of the deity.
During his visit, Pawan Kalyan officially launched a new book on the temple’s history and origin, known as the “Stala Puranam.” Several leaders accompanied him, including Ministers Nadendla Manohar and other MLAs and officials. Government Whips Bolisetti Srinivas and Bommadi Nayak, MLAs Maddipati Venkat Raju, Chirri Balraju, Badeti Radhakrishna, Patsamatla Dharmaraju, Pulaparthi Ramamjaneyulu, Jana Sena district president Kotikalapudi Govind Rao, DCMS chairman Chaganti Murali Krishna, RTC zonal chairman Reddy Appalanayudu, District Collector Vetriselvi, and SP K. Pratap Shiva Kishore were present during the temple program.
As part of the tour, Pawan Kalyan also inspected the recently repaired Ponguturu–Lakkavaram road. During his previous visit, the road was filled with potholes, causing major inconvenience to locals. After receiving requests from the public, he ensured that the road was repaired. The 6.5 km stretch, developed at a cost of ₹1.5 crore, is now complete. Pawan Kalyan, along with Minister Nadendla Manohar, reviewed the work near Rajavaram and interacted with officials about the improvement.
This visit highlighted both spiritual significance and development efforts in the region, boosting local expectations and public response.
