The collaboration of Arjun Reddy and Animal fame director Sandeep Reddy with reigning pan-India superstar Prabhas for upcoming cop drama ‘Spirit’ has been creating huge anticipation even before the start of the regular shooting. The fact that Prabhas will be playing a cop for the first time in his career is one of the biggest reasons for such a massive hype among audiences and trade circles.
On the eve of Prabhas’ birthday today, Sandeep Reddy dropped a big surprise towards the end of the day. In his peculiar and trademark style, Vanga unveiled an audio snippet which reveals about the lead protagonist’s violent nature in the film through a conversation between a superior officer with his subordinate. Through Sound Story, the director drops hints that Prabhas is an IPS officer who was once an academy topper but turns a remand prisoner because of his ‘one bad habit’.
Prakash Raj, who plays a jail superintendent in the film, says that Prabhas has a bad reputation and was terminated due to his conduct issues. The audio ends on a high note with Prabhas’ dialogue that he has one bad habit from his childhood, leaving everyone guessing.
The entire narration clearly hints that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is once again going to present the hero as a irreverent man with bad qualities which lands him in trouble in his profession. The thumping background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar adds more intensity to the audio.
While Prakash Raj seems to be playing another strong and author backed role, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is likely to play a negative role in the film.
The regular shooting is expected to commence next year and Sandeep Reddy is planning to wrap up entire part in less than a year. Tripti Dimitri will play the female lead in the film.
