Tamil actor Suriya promises to deliver his best for every film. After the pandemic, two of his impressive films Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim skipped theatrical release. The actor has been delivering his best performances but his films are falling short of delivering blockbusters. Films like Kanguva, Retro and others failed big. Though Suriya is criticised for his choice of films, several filmmakers are rushing to lock Suriya for their next.
The actor has Karuppu ready for release in summer and he is done with Venky Atluri’s film which is his first Telugu film. Suriya is currently shooting for his 47th film directed by Jithu Madhavan. Suriya is currently discussing scripts with over half a dozen directors and he is lining up three new films to shoot and complete them before the end of 2027. Despite several flops, Suriya’s non-theatrical market has been strong enough and several producers are keen to work with Suriya. The actor has also plans to do more Telugu and Hindi films in the coming years. For now, his market is rock solid despite delivering several flops.
