In a tragic incident that has shocked the outskirts of Hyderabad, three members of the same family were found dead on railway tracks between Charlapalli and Ghatkesar early Saturday morning. According to officials, the bodies of a woman and her two children were discovered around 2.30 am on the railway tracks at Kilometer Number 206/48 under the Charlapalli railway section. The deceased have been identified as Vijayashanthi Reddy and her children — daughter Chethana and son Vishal. All three were found run over by a train.
Police said Vijayashanthi was working in the software sector in Hyderabad, while her husband Surender Reddy is currently in Dubai. Despite being financially stable, the family appears to have taken the drastic step for reasons that are yet to be known. Investigators stated that there were no immediate signs pointing to financial distress or family disputes.
The bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered.
