The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to release a comprehensive Job Calendar on the occasion of Ugadi, outlining recruitment plans for nearly 10,000 government posts to be filled in phases over the next three years. The move is expected to bring relief to thousands of unemployed youth in the state who have been waiting for government job notifications.
According to official sources, the proposed Job Calendar includes vacancies across several key departments. A significant number of posts will be filled in the education sector, with around 3,000 vacancies planned in School Education and Intermediate Education departments. These posts are expected to strengthen the teaching workforce and improve the quality of education in government institutions.
In the police department, the government is planning to recruit around 3,000 personnel, including Sub-Inspectors (SI) and Constables. This recruitment drive is expected to boost the strength of the police force and improve law and order management across the state.
Higher education institutions are also set to benefit from the recruitment drive. Around 1,500 Assistant Professor posts are proposed to be filled in universities, which could help address faculty shortages and enhance academic standards in state universities.
The Job Calendar also includes technical and administrative posts across multiple departments. Around 500 Assistant Engineer (AE) posts are expected to be notified, along with 200 Hostel Warden posts to strengthen hostel administration in educational institutions. Another 200 posts are planned in the Statistics department.
In addition, the calendar is expected to include recruitment for competitive examination categories such as Group-1 and Group-2 services. Around 100 posts are proposed under Group-1 services and about 500 posts under Group-2 services, offering opportunities for candidates aspiring for administrative roles in the state government.
Officials indicate that the government is working towards establishing a systematic recruitment process by releasing a Job Calendar every year on the occasion of Ugadi. The idea behind the initiative is to provide transparency and predictability in government hiring so that job aspirants can plan their preparation accordingly.
The proposed calendar is also being discussed in the context of previous job calendar announcements made during the earlier YSRCP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Critics had often accused the previous administration of limiting the job calendar announcements to promises without substantial recruitment each year. Every January 1, job calendar announcements were made, but many aspirants alleged that the recruitment process did not progress as expected.
Against this backdrop, the upcoming Ugadi Job Calendar announcement has generated considerable interest among unemployed youth and competitive exam aspirants across Andhra Pradesh. Many are hoping that the government will ensure timely notifications and transparent recruitment processes so that the proposed 10,000 vacancies are filled within the planned three-year period.
As Ugadi approaches, job seekers across the state are eagerly waiting for the official release of the calendar, which could set the roadmap for government recruitment in Andhra Pradesh in the coming years.
