Sharwanand’s Biker and Sangeeth Sobhan’s Rakasa released over the weekend. Both these films received decent response. Biker word of mouth was better but the footfalls and the box-office numbers were quite low over the weekend. Biker was better in the multiplexes while Rakasa performed well in B and C centres. There is a huge impact on IPl on the evening and the night shows over the weekend on both these films.
Biker has a bigger target to perform and reach the breakeven zone. The performances of the lead actors and the technical aspects are widely appreciated. The entertainment in Rakasa is appreciated and the promotions help the film to an extent. Dhurandhar: The Revenge had one more strong weekend in the cities and multiplexes. The film turned out to be the first choice in Hyderabad and other cities. On the whole, the word of mouth was good for Biker but Rakasa performed well in Telugu states.
