Andhra Pradesh has recorded a notable improvement in Class 10 public examination results, with the overall pass percentage rising to 85.25% from last year’s 81.1%. The outcome is being credited to a structured 100-day academic action plan implemented under the leadership of Education Minister Nara Lokesh.
Launched at the start of the academic year, the program focused on consistent assessment, targeted learning, and close monitoring of student performance. Between December 6, 2025, and the commencement of exams in March 2026, students were evaluated through 46 slip tests conducted in a stress-free manner. The results were tracked using the LEAP mobile app, allowing daily analysis through multiple dashboards.
Based on performance data, students were grouped as “Shining Stars” and “Rising Stars,” enabling teachers to tailor instruction according to individual learning needs. Special focus was given to clearing subject-wise doubts and strengthening weaker areas. The department also provided model papers and bilingual question banks to help students prepare effectively.
To ensure no student was left behind, a 30-day residential program was organized for those who lagged in assessments. Pre-final and grand tests were conducted to build confidence and reduce exam pressure. Alongside academics, welfare measures such as free uniforms, textbooks, and nutritious mid-day meals supported student participation and consistency.
The results reflect across all school categories, with government schools showing a rise in pass percentage from 72.8% to 78.39%. Girls outperformed boys, registering an 87.90% pass rate compared to 82.68% among boys — a difference of 5.22%.
Out of over 12,000 schools, only 16 reported zero pass results, with the majority coming from private institutions. Government schools accounted for just five such cases, indicating improved performance standards.
Calling it a collective achievement, Minister Nara Lokesh stated that coordinated efforts, careful planning, and continuous monitoring played a key role in the improved outcomes. He emphasized that while progress has been made, there is still scope for further strengthening the quality of education, infrastructure, and value-based learning in government schools.
He also congratulated successful students and encouraged those who did not clear the exams not to lose confidence, stressing that persistence and effort are key to future success.
