The grand launch event of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited film #Mega158 created huge buzz on Thursday, and one announcement from the team grabbed special attention. The makers officially welcomed young actress Anaswara Rajan on board, introducing her as part of the film’s exciting cast.
Sharing the update on social media, the team wrote that a “new wave of charm” has joined the Mega storm, confirming Anaswara Rajan’s presence in the film. Directed by K. S. Ravindra, the movie is being produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions. Music is composed by S. Thaman.
For many Telugu audiences, Anaswara Rajan may still be a fresh face. However, the young actress has already built a strong reputation in Malayalam cinema with her natural performances and screen presence. Born in Kerala in 2002, Anaswara started her acting journey as a child artist with the Malayalam film Udaharanam Sujatha in 2017. She later gained wide recognition with the blockbuster coming-of-age film Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, where her performance as a school student connected strongly with youth audiences.
Her popularity grew further with films like Super Sharanya, Pranaya Vilasam, and especially Neru, in which she played a visually challenged sculptor alongside Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Her performance in Neru received critical acclaim and also earned her major awards in Malayalam cinema.
Apart from Malayalam films, Anaswara has also acted in Tamil and Hindi projects including Raangi and Yaariyan 2. She recently stepped into Telugu cinema as well and is slowly expanding her presence across South Indian industries.
The pooja ceremony of #Mega158 was held in a grand manner with the presence of several celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Nagendra Babu, Sushmita Konidela, Niharika Konidela, Allu Aravind, V. V. Vinayak and Meher Ramesh. With Anaswara Rajan now joining the project, expectations around the film have increased further among movie lovers.
