Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan is set to undergo another surgery after doctors diagnosed severe injuries to the rotator cuffs and muscles in both shoulders during a detailed medical evaluation at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The actor-politician travelled to Mumbai along with his wife Anna Konidela for the health check-up, where specialists reportedly advised immediate surgical intervention. Despite the medical advice, Pawan has decided to postpone the procedure until he completes his scheduled official commitments. According to reports, he wants to finish the administrative responsibilities already lined up before taking a break for surgery.
This will be the second major medical procedure for Pawan in a short span. Earlier this year, he underwent sinus surgery after a severe infection, during which doctors also identified a long-standing rotator cuff injury that had developed over years of performing high-risk action sequences without adequate treatment. Doctors now believe the shoulder condition has worsened considerably, making surgery unavoidable. Recovery from rotator cuff repair is expected to require several weeks of rest followed by physiotherapy, which could temporarily slow both his political schedules and film commitments.
