The makers of Fight Maha, an upcoming psychological thriller, have officially unveiled the film’s teaser, with acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma launching it at a special event. Featuring Sunil, Akhil Uddemari, Dr. Sreevani Gopichand, Vaishnavi, Siddharth, and Srikanth Iyengar in key roles, the film promises a gripping blend of suspense, emotions, and psychological drama.
Written and directed by Anand Chandra, Fight Maha carries the intriguing tagline, “What if dreams become reality… whose truth would it be?” The film has been produced by AVS Raju, R. Kumar Raju, and Anand Chandra under the New Eye Movies LLP banner. After completing filming across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Kerala, along with post-production work, the movie is now gearing up for its theatrical release.
Speaking at the teaser launch, producer AVS Raju said the team decided to back the project because of its unique story. He added that director Anand Chandra successfully translated his vision onto the screen and expressed confidence in the film’s final output.
Director Anand Chandra described Fight Maha as a psychological thriller that explores dreams, mental disorders, destiny, guilt, and hidden truths. He explained that the protagonist, named Maha, constantly battles challenges in his life, which inspired the film’s title. Along with suspense and emotional storytelling, the director said the film also delivers a message about never giving up, no matter how difficult life becomes.
Writer BVS Ravi praised the film’s music and teaser, expressing confidence that audiences who are increasingly embracing concept-driven cinema would connect with the movie. Lyricist Sirashri said the teaser successfully creates curiosity and raises expectations for the trailer and the film.
Sharing his thoughts, Ram Gopal Varma said the sleepwalking-based concept featured in Fight Maha feels fresh for Telugu audiences. He recalled how director Vamsy had experimented with innovative camera work even before Steadicams became popular and said he believes Anand Chandra has balanced the emotional and thriller elements effectively. Varma added that the teaser had impressed him and that he is looking forward to watching the trailer.
With an unusual psychological premise, an ensemble cast, and a mystery-driven narrative, Fight Maha is aiming to offer Telugu audiences a different cinematic experience when it arrives in theatres soon.
