Kamal Haasan appears to have made an important change to his upcoming lineup. Reports from Tamil cinema suggest that the actor’s next immediate project will be directed by SU Arun Kumar, who recently impressed audiences with Veera Dheera Sooran. The project is said to be in pre-production stage and the shoot commences very soon. Earlier, Kamal was expected to begin a film with action choreographer-director duo Anbariv. However, the latest reports indicate that the project has been pushed back, paving the way for the SU Arun Kumar film to take off first. An official announcement is still awaited about the change of lineup of Kamal’s films.
SU Arun Kumar has earned a reputation for making content-driven films such as Sethupathi, Chithha and Veera Dheera Sooran. Despite the change in schedule, Kamal Haasan continues to have a packed lineup. He remains part of Kalki Part 2 and is also expected to team up with Nelson Dilipkumar for the much-discussed KH x RK project. The Anbariv film is not shelved but is likely to commence at a later stage after the Arun Kumar project is completed. Apart from these, Kamal Haasan is also busy with several films as a producer.
