The trailer of Ramayana: Part 1 is finally out, and it has lived up to the huge expectations surrounding the film. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological epic offers a grand visual experience while staying rooted in the emotions of the timeless story. The trailer introduces the world of Lord Rama with stunning visuals, rich production values and a scale that is rarely seen in Indian cinema. Ranbir Kapoor appears calm and dignified as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi’s glimpse as Sita reflects grace and simplicity. The biggest surprise comes with Yash essaying the role of Ravana. His powerful presence leaves a strong impact and sets up the central conflict for the film. Sunny Deol’s Hanuman also gets a brief introduction, adding more excitement to the narrative.
One of the visually striking moments in the trailer is the appearance of Airavata, the mythical white elephant associated with Lord Indra. The sequence adds another layer to the film’s world-building and reflects the effort put into recreating the mythology with attention to detail. The VFX work, creature designs and large-scale battle sequences look polished and blend naturally with the storytelling. The background score composed by the legendary duo Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman enhances the visuals throughout the trailer. Instead of relying on loud moments, the music gradually builds the emotional weight and complements the journey of Rama. The trailer also makes it clear that the makers have focused more on storytelling than revealing major plot points. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is planned as a two-part film. The first part is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026, while the second part is expected to arrive in 2027.
