Kiran Abbavaram’s latest romantic entertainer Chennai Love Story continues its impressive run at the box office, maintaining a steady hold even on weekdays. After recovering its theatrical investment within just four days, the film has now crossed another significant milestone worldwide.
According to the latest trade estimates, Chennai Love Story earned over ₹21.4 crore gross in the Telugu states during its first four days, while its worldwide gross stood at more than ₹29 crore. The film reportedly sustained a strong trend on its fifth day, collecting over ₹3 crore gross across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana despite being a regular working day.
With contributions from Karnataka, the rest of India, and overseas markets, the film is expected to add around ₹4 crore gross worldwide on Day 5. If the estimates hold, Chennai Love Story will comfortably cross the ₹33 crore worldwide gross mark, while its Telugu states total is likely to exceed ₹24 crore.
The latest success also gives Kiran Abbavaram another career milestone, as Chennai Love Story becomes only the second film in his career to surpass the ₹30 crore worldwide gross mark. His previous film KA had also achieved the feat before going on to enjoy a strong theatrical run.
With positive audience response and steady occupancy levels, trade circles believe Chennai Love Story still has room to grow over the coming days. If the current momentum continues, the film could challenge the lifetime performance of KA and emerge as the biggest box office success of Kiran Abbavaram’s career.
