Akhil Raj, who previously impressed audiences with his performance in Raju Weds Rambai, is now headlining a powerfully titled new film, Shanarthi. The project is a joint production venture between blockbuster director Sampath Nandi’s successful banner, Sampath Nandi Teamworks, and passionate producer KV Sridhar Reddy of Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions. Presented by the prestigious Aditya Movies banner, the film marks the directorial debut of Raj Ganesh Uppunooti, a talented protege of Sampath Nandi.
The makers have unveiled an intriguing title poster that beautifully captures the essence of Telangana. The term Shanarthi is a traditional form of greeting, and the poster visually reflects this with two hands holding each other. One hand is covered in turmeric yellow while the other is painted in striking red, adorned with traditional bangles and sacred threads. Along with the tagline “A Tale of Culture,” the visual design symbolizes connection, tradition, and togetherness.
Sharing the screen with the lead actor is talented actress Naga Durga, who is making her feature film acting debut. Widely known for her lively presence in popular Telangana folk songs, she has already garnered attention by signing a few interesting projects. Sampath Nandi, known for his strength as a showrunner and creator of the Odela franchise, brings considerable anticipation to the film with his strong backing.
The movie was officially launched today with a grand pooja ceremony at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad, attended by prominent film personalities. Adding musical depth to this rural drama is composer Suresh Bobbili, whose earthy tunes are expected to elevate the regional flavor. Regular shooting is expected to commence soon, with further details about the cast and crew to be announced shortly.
