Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu’s long-running feud has resurfaced after Taapsee spoke about their differences in a recent interview. Taapsee said she has never met Kangana, either before or after their issues began. She added that her opinion about Kangana reflects her upbringing, her way of communicating and the way she perceives things, while Kangana has her own perspective. Taapsee said people can look at both sides and decide for themselves.
Kangana responded strongly on social media and accused Taapsee of ridiculing her upbringing and parents. She brought back the old “sasti copy” remark and also took a dig at Taapsee’s upcoming Netflix film Gandhari, referring to it as a B-grade film. Kangana questioned why Taapsee’s parents could not give birth to someone “original” like her parents did. She also spoke about her own family background and said she had never brought anyone’s parents into their arguments. Kangana later deleted the posts, though the reason for the deletion is not known.
Taapsee did not respond to Kangana with a direct statement. Instead, she shared an Instagram story that simply read “Hence, proved.” She did not mention Kangana’s name, but the timing of the post came soon after Kangana’s remarks and it was widely interpreted as a response to the attack.
The two actresses have had differences for several years, with their public feud dating back to comments made around the time of the nepotism debate in Bollywood. The “sasti copy” remark itself became part of their earlier dispute after Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel accused Taapsee of copying Kangana. The latest exchange has now brought their old differences back into the spotlight.
