Renowned Telugu film producer Dil Raju, accompanied by his wife, attended the grand consecration ceremony (Prana Pratishtha) of the Sri Pattabhiramachandra Swamy Temple at J.S.R. Nagar in Porumamilla Mandal of YSR Kadapa district. Invited as the chief guest, the producer participated in the religious celebrations and offered special prayers at the newly built temple.
Dil Raju received a warm welcome from temple committee members, village elders, temple donor Sri Ramulu, actor Vamsi Krishna, and local residents. After arriving at the temple, he took part in the special abhishekam and other traditional rituals before interacting with the media.
Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said he was delighted to attend the consecration ceremony with his family at the invitation of temple committee chairman Sri Ramulu. He shared that Lord Venkateswara has always been the presiding deity of his family and explained that Lord Venkateswara is a form of Lord Vishnu, who is revered as Lord Sri Rama.
The producer described the event as a spiritually fulfilling experience and recalled his long association with the Kadapa region. He said he had conducted business in Proddatur, Kadapa, and Porumamilla nearly two decades ago, making the visit even more meaningful.
Praising the efforts behind the temple’s construction, Dil Raju appreciated Sri Ramulu and his family for taking up such a noble initiative. He said that while building the temple was a remarkable achievement, preserving its spiritual significance through regular worship and community participation would be the collective responsibility of the villagers.
Actor Vamsi Krishna thanked Dil Raju for travelling from Hyderabad to attend the ceremony despite his busy schedule. He said constructing a temple in one’s native village is a rare blessing and encouraged the local community to continue supporting the temple and its activities with devotion and unity.
Temple donor Sri Ramulu expressed his gratitude to Dil Raju for accepting the invitation and attending the event despite prior commitments, including an overseas trip. He also thanked everyone who supported the construction of the temple, recalling Dil Raju’s message that a temple becomes truly meaningful only when devotees continue to worship with faith and discipline.
Vishwanth Reddy also acknowledged the contributions of Sri Ramulu, actor Vamsi Krishna, temple committee members, donors, and volunteers who played an important role in bringing the project to completion.
The consecration celebrations featured special pujas, homams, devotional programmes, and cultural events, while free Annadanam was arranged for devotees. The temple committee expressed hope that the Sri Pattabhiramachandra Swamy Temple would serve as a lasting spiritual and cultural centre for the people of the region and future generations.
