A fresh wave of welfare-focused promises is drawing attention in Tamil Nadu, with a wide-ranging plan targeting families, farmers, youth, education, jobs, healthcare, and governance reforms. The proposed package is being positioned as a people-first model with strong emphasis on financial support and transparent administration.
Among the headline promises is the supply of six free LPG cylinders every year for each family. Farmers have been assured crop loan waivers for small cultivators, along with higher Minimum Support Prices for paddy and sugarcane.
For students and job seekers, the plan includes collateral-free education loans up to ₹20 lakh. Unemployed graduates may receive ₹4,000 per month, while diploma holders could get ₹2,500 as monthly assistance. Massive employment generation has also been promised through 5 lakh new government jobs and another 5 lakh paid internships.
In the education sector, 100 special Kamarajar residential schools of excellence are proposed to offer world-class learning opportunities. Young entrepreneurs are also set to benefit through collateral-free loans of up to ₹25 lakh.
The governance agenda focuses on doorstep delivery of welfare benefits and ration services to reduce delays and middlemen. A legal guarantee for time-bound issue of documents such as birth and community certificates has also been proposed.
Technology is another major highlight, with plans for an AI Ministry, AI University, and AI City aimed at turning Tamil Nadu into a leading innovation hub.
Police welfare and healthcare are also part of the roadmap, including raising the basic salary of police personnel to ₹25,000, weekly holidays, and health insurance coverage of ₹25 lakh for families.
With a mix of welfare, jobs, education, and tech-driven reforms, these promises are being projected as a strong alternative model for voters ahead of the next political battle.
