With passenger demand rising due to the ongoing RTC strike, Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have increased train frequency across key routes to ensure smoother travel for commuters across the city.
On the Miyapur–LB Nagar corridor, trains that usually run every 3 minutes 40 seconds during peak hours and every 4 minutes 50 seconds during non-peak hours are now operating throughout the day at an interval of every 4 minutes 20 seconds.
On the Nagole–Raidurg corridor, services have been significantly stepped up. Trains that normally arrive every 5 minutes 20 seconds are now running every 3 minutes 40 seconds all day.
Officials are also considering extending metro operations beyond 11 PM to further support passengers if travel demand continues to rise.
The move is expected to provide major relief to thousands of daily commuters facing transport challenges during the RTC strike.
