Pawan Kalyan has expressed serious concern over the recent fire accident reported in the Seshachalam Forest near Tirupati. The Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, who also handles the Forest and Environment portfolio, directed officials to take immediate steps to control the flames and prevent further spread.
He described the large-scale damage to forest resources as unfortunate and instructed forest department teams to remain alert until the summer season ends. Reports suggesting that miscreants under the influence of alcohol or involved in illegal activities may have caused the fire were also taken seriously.
Pawan Kalyan ordered officials to identify those responsible, arrest them, and initiate strict legal action under forest laws. He also asked authorities to conduct a full inquiry into the incident and sought an explanation from senior forest officials.
According to officials, anti-fire squad members, police personnel, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams staff were deployed to bring the blaze under control. Emergency teams have been working continuously, and efforts were expected to contain the fire fully.
The Deputy Chief Minister further stressed the need for preventive measures across forest zones until the end of June. He suggested awareness programs in border villages, close monitoring of suspicious movement in forest routes, and greater public participation in preventing such incidents.
The response highlights the government’s focus on protecting the ecologically sensitive Seshachalam forest region and avoiding similar fire accidents in the coming weeks.
