Hollywood film Obsession was made on a strict budget and the film is creating a storm across the globe. The film released in India on May 29th and it is unstoppable. Obsession emerged as the second highest grossing horror film from Hollywood India. The film stands next to ‘The Conjuring Last Rites in box-office numbers and footfalls in India. Obsession also surpassed the closing numbers of several hit films of Hollywood in India.
As per the trade analysts, Obsession will cross The Conjuring Last Rites and will race to the top by the time the theatrical run ends. The film is holding well across the multiplexes and in urban regions of India. The shows are increased every weekend and the film even dominated several regional films in India. Indian filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has posted a breakup of the budgets and the expenses of this small attempt. The film is said to be completed in Rs 7.15 crores ($750,000) and the film collected over 300 times of the budget.
