A small-budget film produced by a woman farmer has unexpectedly landed in a legal dispute, prompting an emotional appeal to actor Prabhas and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Narsamma, a farmer-turned-producer who backed the film “Spirit Is Not One” under the banner 8th Wonder Cinemas, claims her family’s dream project is now facing an uncertain future due to objections over its title.
According to Narsamma, her family invested their lifetime savings into the film after selling agricultural land and other assets. She said the project completed all required formalities, including obtaining a censor certificate well before the production of Prabhas’ upcoming film “Spirit” began. The movie was also promoted across various media platforms in preparation for its release.
However, as the team moved forward with theatrical release plans, they allegedly received legal notices from T-Series, one of the producers associated with “Spirit.” Narsamma claims the notices effectively halted the release of her film, leaving the production in financial distress.
The producer said the sudden setback has created serious difficulties for her family. Investors who had promised support reportedly withdrew, while lenders have increased pressure for repayments. She also expressed concern about the social impact of the controversy, stating that the situation has affected her family’s reputation within their community.
Despite the dispute, Narsamma said she has no objections to changing the title of her film if required. She appealed for an amicable resolution through discussions involving industry elders and requested that the objections be withdrawn so the film can proceed with its theatrical and digital release plans.
In her appeal, Narsamma urged Prabhas to personally look into the matter, expressing hope that the actor may help find a solution. She maintained that her intention is not to create conflict but to save a project that represents years of hard work and financial sacrifice.
At the same time, she stated that if the issue remains unresolved, her family may explore legal options to seek relief for the losses they claim to have suffered. The development has drawn attention on social media, with many now waiting to see whether the matter can be settled through mutual discussions.
