A new national platform aimed at bringing together professionals from India’s film, media and creative industries was officially launched at Cinikethan 2026 in Hyderabad. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Cine Creators Organisation (CCO) during the event held at the NI-MSME campus, marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s growing creative economy.
The Cine Creators Organisation has been established to connect professionals from nine major crafts of the film industry, including direction, writing, acting, cinematography, editing, music and sound, art direction and production design, VFX, animation and digital content, and producing. The organisation aims to create a collaborative national platform that encourages professional networking, skill development, creator welfare and the creation, protection and commercialisation of original intellectual property (IP).
The organisation will be led by Founder President Veera Shankar and Founder General Secretary P.G. Vinda, with several leading personalities from different sectors of India’s creative ecosystem joining as founding members.
Speaking at the launch, CINICA Creators Council Founder Directors P.G. Vinda and Panja Shravan said the Cine Creators Organisation has been formed to support the rapidly expanding Indian creative economy. They clarified that CCO is not intended to replace existing associations, guilds, councils or creator bodies. Instead, it will serve as a collaborative national platform that connects these organisations, promotes knowledge sharing and encourages collective growth across the industry.
During the event, Founder President Veera Shankar also announced CCO’s first major initiative, the “Collective Script-Creation Model.” The initiative is designed to promote collaborative storytelling by bringing together writers and creative professionals to develop original content through a structured and shared creative process.
With the launch of the Cine Creators Organisation, the founders hope to create a stronger ecosystem for collaboration, innovation and long-term growth in India’s film and creative industries, while providing creators with greater opportunities to connect, learn and build original intellectual property on a national scale.
