Actor Vijay Deverakonda shared a heartfelt birthday message for director Rahul Sankrityan, expressing his admiration for the filmmaker and his excitement about their upcoming pan-India historical drama, Ranabaali.
Taking to social media on Rahul Sankrityan’s birthday, Vijay reflected on their journey together, recalling that it has been nine years since they collaborated on Taxiwaala. He said both of them have grown significantly over the years and praised Rahul for staying committed to telling meaningful stories with sincerity and presenting them beautifully on screen.
Vijay also noted that although they have worked together on only two films, they have experienced several challenges along the way. At the same time, he fondly remembered the immense love and appreciation Taxiwaala received from audiences. Expressing confidence in their new collaboration, he hoped Ranabaali would become another memorable success and said he is delighted to be part of the project. He added that he is eagerly looking forward to audiences experiencing the film on the big screen.
Ranabaali is being directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced on a grand scale by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with T-Series presenting the film. Set in the 19th century, the period drama is inspired by real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878 during British rule in India.
Mounted as a pan-India project, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role alongside Rashmika Mandanna. International actor Arnold Vosloo also plays a key role in the film. Ranabaali is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11 and is one of the most anticipated period action dramas of the year.
