The buzz surrounding Prabhas’ upcoming period war drama Fauji continues to grow, with producer Naga Vamsi sharing his excitement after watching footage from the film.
In a recent interview, Naga Vamsi revealed that producer Mythri Ravi screened a portion of Fauji, and he was left highly impressed by the scale and visual ambition of the project. According to him, the film has the potential to become a landmark cinematic experience and reflects the grand vision behind its production.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauji is set against the backdrop of British India during the 1940s and World War II. The film features Prabhas in the role of a soldier and is said to draw inspiration from lesser-known chapters of Indian history, including the Indian National Army.
The ensemble cast includes Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher in key roles. Production is currently progressing at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where the team is filming important sequences.
Following the massive success of Kalki 2898 AD, expectations are naturally high for Prabhas’ next big-screen outing. While the makers are yet to reveal more details about the project, Fauji is being planned as a two-part epic and is expected to arrive in theatres during a festive season in 2026.
