The makers of “Chiranjeevi”, an upcoming survival drama thriller starring Kiku Yanamala and Kashish Khan, held a grand pre-release press meet in Hyderabad ahead of the film’s theatrical release on August 28. Produced by Deepti Nadiminti under the Kiku Entertainments banner and directed by Shubha Sai Venkat, the film also features Eswari Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Srikanth Bharat, Viva Raghava, Girish, and others in key roles.
Speaking at the event, the film’s team expressed confidence in the movie’s unique concept and urged audiences to experience it on the big screen. Executive Producer Yash Mittal described Chiranjeevi as a film with fresh and innovative content, while choreographer Govind said audiences would enjoy a differently conceived song and an engaging story.
Director of Photography Ramakrishna said the thriller is designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats throughout its runtime. Actors Girish and Rajeev praised the hard work that went into the project, adding that the film offers a refreshing cinematic experience and deserves support from Telugu audiences.
Veteran editor Chota K. Prasad appreciated the dedication of the producers and director, saying the film maintains its grip from beginning to end and reflects the team’s belief in the story. Zubeda Ali said the trailer sparked her curiosity by showcasing different shades of lead actor Kiku Yanamala and wished the team success.
Actor Srikanth Iyengar encouraged audiences to support small Telugu films by watching them in theatres instead of waiting for their OTT release. Producer Prasanna Kumar echoed the sentiment, saying smaller films have been receiving encouraging support from moviegoers and hoped Chiranjeevi would continue that trend.
Director Shubha Sai Venkat thanked the Producers Council for helping the team overcome challenges during production. He revealed that the film contains a bold and risky narrative element that has intentionally been kept out of the trailer to preserve the surprise for audiences.
Producer Deepti Nadiminti expressed complete confidence in the film’s content and said the team is releasing it with conviction. She also noted that the heroine’s role plays a significant part in the story and thanked everyone who stood by the project during its journey.
Lead actor Kiku Yanamala thanked the guests and supporters who attended the event while sharing the challenges faced during the film’s promotions. He said the team travelled extensively across Andhra Pradesh and received an encouraging response from audiences. Kiku also spoke about difficulties in organising promotional events and alleged that promotional material for the film had been removed at some theatres to make way for another release.
Despite the obstacles, Kiku said the team remains confident in the strength of the film’s content. He encouraged aspiring filmmakers and newcomers to believe in their stories and stay determined. Calling Chiranjeevi a fresh survival thriller with a unique concept, he expressed hope that audiences would support the film when it arrives in theatres on August 28.
