Akkineni Nagarjuna has taken things prestigiously after he heard the script of Lenin. He backed the film, involved in all the aspects right from the pre-production to the shoot, production responsibilities and the post-production works. S Naga Vamsi joined hands as the co-producer and the makers have spent lavishly on Lenin. The film underwent several reshoots, got delayed and the number of working days increased. Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi did not fix any budget and they wanted to make a film with grand visuals and great quality.
The final budget of Lenin touched Rs 50 crores. Close to Rs 35 crores were recovered through the non-theatrical rights of the film. The theatrical rights were not sold and the film was released on their own. Annapurna Studios released the film in Nizam and Naga Vamsi released Lenin in the AP region through his distributors. Considering the word of mouth and the openings, the makers will recover their investments before this weekend through the theatrical revenue. The film’s run and profits will depend completely on how the audience will receive the film. For now, Lenin is a safe project for Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi.
