Tollywood top actor NTR announced a film based on Hindu mythology to be directed by the finest writer and director Trivikram. The film is based on the story of Lord Karthikeya. Ever since the announcement was made, there has been huge noise made across the Tamil circles. Some of the associations called for a ban on the film. Now comes the surprise. Last night Tamil actor Dhanush announced a film on a similar theme and it would be directed by Vetrimaaran. The film is titled Thamizh Murugan and a short video that is made in AI is released. The video seemed to be made in a rush and lacks interesting visuals.
Over the years, no Tamil filmmaker even attempted to make a film on Lord Murugan. After the big announcement came from NTR and Trivikram, Tamil actors and filmmakers have turned over-enthusiastic. There was a big debate on social media after the announcement was made. The announcement of Thamizh Murugan also triggered Telugu and Tamil fan wars. Trivikram has a strong hold on Hindu mythology and it is sure that no one can match up to his writing and presentation.
Some of them commented on social media that Vetrimaaran is an atheist and how he can direct a feature film based on Lord Murugan. The generated AI visuals in Thamizh Murugan are very poor and they are receiving a backlash from the Tamil circles. When Dhanush is occupied with a number of films, there is no need to make an announcement in a mad rush. This completely says that the film was born out after the announcement of NTR and Trivikram’s film saw light.
We have to wait to see which film will make the needed noise and lives to the expectations of the audience.
