Ramya Krishna to Play Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in Queen

Veteran actress Ramya Krishna has joined the cast of the upcoming women-centric Telugu film Queen, directed by young filmmaker Rathan Rishi. The actress will be seen in a powerful political role as Lakshmi Pranathi, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, adding significant star power to the project.

The makers officially unveiled Ramya Krishna’s character and welcomed her on board, describing it as one of the film’s most important roles. Renowned for her commanding screen presence and memorable performances, Ramya Krishna is expected to bring strength and depth to the politically influential character.

Queen marks the acting debut of popular social media influencer ER Yamini as the lead actress. Produced under the One Circle Films banner, the film is positioned as a women-centric political drama with a compelling emotional narrative.

Set between 2006 and 2010, Queen draws inspiration from real-life incidents and personalities while presenting a fictional story. Along with political drama, the film also features a love story intertwined with contemporary social issues, aiming to offer audiences a gripping cinematic experience.

The supporting cast includes Sai Kumar, who plays the heroine’s father, while Ajay Ghosh and Kalakeya Prabhakar portray the antagonists. Veteran actor Tanikella Bharani, Naveen Bethiganti, and several other prominent actors are also playing key roles.
