Bollywood actress Rasha Thadani, daughter of actress Raveena Tandon, says she feels fortunate to make her Telugu debut with Srinivasa Mangapuram, describing the film and her character as one of the most memorable experiences of her career so far.
Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film marks the Telugu debut of both Rasha Thadani and Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, grandson of Superstar Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu. The film is produced by P. Kiran and presented by veteran producer C. Ashwini Dutt under the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Veteran actor Mohan Babu plays a powerful role in the film, which is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 30.
Speaking to the media, Rasha revealed that she heard the script in July last year and was immediately impressed by Ajay Bhupathi’s storytelling. She said the director’s emotional narration and the way he designed every character convinced her to be part of the project.
Rasha said she plays Manga, a character with two distinct shades. While one side of the role is cheerful, energetic, and bubbly, the other reflects maturity and grace. She added that the audience will fully understand the character’s depth only after watching the film.
The actress also spoke about the challenge of performing in Telugu. Although she understands the language, she admitted that speaking it fluently was initially difficult. She credited director Ajay Bhupathi for helping her with every dialogue, emotion, and pronunciation, making the learning process much easier. According to Rasha, Manga is one of the closest characters to her heart.
Sharing her experience of working with Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, she described him as a calm and friendly co-star who made the shooting atmosphere enjoyable. She also praised Mohan Babu, calling him fun-loving and supportive, and said she learned a great deal from his vast experience.
Rasha expressed her admiration for Vyjayanthi Movies, saying it was an honor to begin her Telugu journey with one of the industry’s most respected production houses. She also spoke warmly about producer Ashwini Dutt, saying he treated her like family throughout the shoot.
The actress revealed that she has always wanted to work in Telugu cinema and considers films like Baahubali a major inspiration. She described Telugu cinema as technically advanced and creatively rich, saying every film introduces audiences to a new cinematic world.
Rasha also shared that her parents were delighted about her Telugu debut. She recalled that her mother had always spoken highly of the Telugu film industry’s welcoming environment and encouraged her to learn the language.
Talking about the film, Rasha said Srinivasa Mangapuram offers a complete entertainment package with action, romance, comedy, and six songs composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. She praised the music composer, calling his work “magical,” and said all the songs in the film are among her favorites.
Concluding the interaction, Rasha said she considers it a blessing to begin her Telugu career with Srinivasa Mangapuram and hopes the audience embraces the film with love when it releases on July 30.
