Director Venky Atluri has revealed an interesting story behind how Vishwanath And Sons happened. Speaking about the film, he said the project was never the one he initially planned to make with Suriya. Instead, he had approached the actor with a completely different script. According to Venky Atluri, the first story he narrated to Suriya was a biopic. The actor liked the idea and appreciated the script. However, the project ran into issues, making it difficult for the team to move forward. At the same time, Suriya was also looking to do a family entertainer after completing two back-to-back biopics. Venky recalled Suriya telling him, “I have already done two biopics recently. We are still not getting clarity about the rights. Maybe it’s a sign. Do you have any breezy story?” That conversation changed the course of their collaboration.
The director then narrated another script that revolved around the relationship between a 40-year-old man and a 20-year-old youngster. Suriya instantly loved the concept during the very first narration and immediately gave his approval. Venky admitted that the speed with which everything fell into place surprised him. The film has now been shaped up as Vishwanath And Sons, one of Suriya’s most-awaited releases. The recently released teaser has received a positive response for its emotional family backdrop and the film is announced for August 14th release in theatres. Sithara Entertainments are the producers.
