The makers of Ramayana have officially postponed the release of the film’s trailer, which was originally scheduled to launch today. The announcement was made through the film’s official social media handles, confirming that a new global trailer launch date will be revealed soon.
While the makers have not shared a specific reason for the postponement, the decision comes shortly after Sony Pictures Entertainment came on board to distribute Ramayana in international markets outside India. The development has fueled speculation that the team is reworking its promotional strategy to ensure a larger, synchronized global launch.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is one of the most ambitious Indian films ever mounted. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Monster Mind Creations, the two-part epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey in a pivotal role. The film also boasts music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, adding to the project’s international appeal.
The first installment of Ramayana is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026, with the second part set to arrive in Diwali 2027. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the makers to announce the revised global trailer launch date.
