Kiran Abbavaram’s latest romantic entertainer Chennai Love Story continues its impressive run at the box office, maintaining strong momentum even after the opening weekend. The film has successfully cleared the crucial Monday test, delivering collections that exceeded industry expectations.
After posting an excellent first weekend worldwide, the film entered its first working day with positive momentum. Trade estimates initially expected the movie to collect around ₹1.7 crore in share on Day 4. However, the film performed better than anticipated, earning approximately ₹2.15 crore share worldwide, while gross collections for the day stood at around ₹4.35 crore.
With this performance, Chennai Love Story has comfortably crossed the break-even mark within just four days of its theatrical release. According to the latest box office figures (including GST), the film has collected around ₹16.25 crore share worldwide, backed by an estimated gross of ₹29.35 crore.
The regional share breakup stands at approximately ₹5.90 crore in Nizam, ₹2 crore in Ceded and ₹5.02 crore in Andhra, taking the total share from the Telugu states to ₹12.92 crore. The film has also earned around ₹1.15 crore from Karnataka and the Rest of India, while overseas collections have reached about ₹2.18 crore share.
Released with a worldwide theatrical break-even target of around ₹14 crore share, Chennai Love Story has now entered the profit zone with an estimated ₹2.25 crore surplus. With positive word-of-mouth and a solid hold during weekdays, all eyes are now on how much further the film can extend its successful box office run in the coming days.
