Ravi Teja is all set to deliver a highly unique theatrical experience with his upcoming family and crime thriller, Irumudi. Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on August 21. Shiva Nirvana interacted with media and dismissed all the rumors about Ram Charan appearing in a cameo in Mallepoola Pallaki song.
Emphasizing the deeply engaging narrative, he said, “There is a wonderful human drama within the Ayyappa Swamy Mala. When anyone takes up the Deeksha, they live with strict devotion and fear of doing wrong. We perfectly captured this human drama through the protagonist’s character.” He added that a massive star taking up this untouched point will ensure the story reaches every household.
The director’s dedication to authenticity is truly remarkable for this project. To understand the emotions perfectly, Shiva Nirvana personally took the Ayyappa Deeksha, participated in local Padi Poojas, and interacted with several Guruswamys before filming. The movie beautifully blends three layers: the devotion of the Mala, deep family emotions, and a gripping crime angle. The title itself justifies this blend, symbolizing the intricate knots between a father and daughter, a devotee and his Deeksha, and the underlying crime element.
He praised Ravi Teja’s performance as perfect and well in balance. Shiva said, “I didnot have anyone in mind while writing the screenplay but after Ravi Teja came on board, he owned the character like only he can. His aura, his look and his energy made Irumudi much bigger and special.” He stated that Mallepoola Pallaki song and every sequence are picturised with intensity and he wants to make a lasting impact with his films and he is confident that movie will be an unforgettable milestone.
