Actress Ananya Nagalla’s upcoming film Leesa has officially completed its shoot and is now moving swiftly through post-production. Backed by producers Venkat Duggireddy and Ramakrishna ILA under the banners of Om Sairam Arts and IRAHS Entertainments, the film marks the directorial debut of Jawahar Pawaar.
Billed as a unique entertainer, Leesa is said to blend two contrasting genres in a way the makers claim has never been attempted before in Indian cinema. The film stars Ananya Nagalla in the lead, with the actress expected to showcase yet another distinctive performance.
Cinematographer Sateesh Reddy Masam has handled the visuals while also contributing as the screenplay writer and co-producer. Editing is by SR Kalyanamandapam director Sreedhar Gade, while Melody Brahma Mani Sharma has composed the music, which the team believes will be one of the film’s biggest highlights.
The movie was filmed on a lavish scale across picturesque locations including Coorg, Virajpet, and the Penchalakona region, with the makers emphasizing its rich production values and visual appeal.
Announcing the completion of the shoot, the director and producers expressed confidence in the film’s final output. They revealed that the rushes have received an encouraging response from the team and that post-production work is progressing at a fast pace. According to them, Leesa is built around a fresh concept that has never been explored on the Indian screen before and is designed to offer audiences a completely new cinematic experience.
The makers also praised Ananya Nagalla’s performance, describing it as one of the film’s major strengths. They confirmed that preparations are underway to complete all remaining formalities and release Leesa in theatres with a grand launch this November.
Apart from Ananya Nagalla, the film also features Suman, Musa Ali Khan, Ratnakar Reddy, Jabardasth Satyashree, Gaddam Naveen, Akella Ravi Reddy, Swapna Chowdary, Gopi Karthikeya, Sujatha, Suji, Manasa, Shyam, Venni, Janu Varma, Kanakam Venkat, Baby Twinkle, Hanushree, and several others in key roles.
