Sree Vishnu is making the most of his career with back to back hits. He is now ready with yet another comedy caper titled Vishnu Vinyasam. Featuring Nayan Sarika as the female lead, the film has hit the screens today. Read our review here:
Story:
The story of Vishnu Vinyasam is about a man (Sree Vishnu) who blindly believes in astrology. His strong faith affects his love life and creates several funny and emotional situations with his love interest, played by Nayan Sarika. The film shows the problems he faces because of this belief and ends with a realization. That is the main idea of the movie.
What about on-screen performances?
Sree Vishnu once again looks very comfortable in his role. His natural comedy timing and body language work well. He proves that if the script is strong, he can easily carry a full-length comedy.
Nayana Sarika looks good on screen and does her part neatly. However, her character is not written in a strong way. Because of that, she does not get enough scope to shine.
Star comedian Satya has a decent role and he evokes a few laughs. Brahmaji is getting repetetive with all his roles these days and does not bring anything new to the table.
It is good to see Murali Sharma, Srikanth Iyengar, and Goparaju Ramana do their jobs well, but their roles are limited. They are there just as padding artists.
What about off-screen talents?
Music by Radhan is average and forgettable as none of the songs make any impact. His BGM is also just about okay and nothing great to boast about.
Director Maruthi Rao handles the first half mainly with Sree Vishnu’s energy. Some comedy scenes start very well and make you laugh in the beginning.
But the problem is that many of these scenes are stretched too much. The same jokes and situations repeat again and again, which makes the film feel longer than it actually is.
The second half is weaker. The comedy reduces and drama increases, but the emotional scenes are not very strong either.
The climax also feels rushed and not fully convincing. But there is nothing convincing or emotionally good that the film showcases. It only runs on comedy.
The production values are good and the styling is neat. The film runs on one-liners, and one gets the feeling that you have seen such stuff earlier from Sree Vishnu.
What’s Hot?
Sree Vishnu performance
Lead pair chemistry
A few comedy scenes
What’s Not?
Repeated scenes
Dull start
Routine Story
Verdict:
Overall, Vishnu Vinyasam banks on Sree Vishnu’s comedy. While the film sounds fun, the comedy episodes work well. Once the family drama starts, things get bogged down. The forced climax and dull emotions are spoil sport and make this film just an average watch this weekend. Watch it for its comedy only.
