Three years after Agent, Akhil Akkineni is testing his luck with Lenin and the film is slated for July 10th release. During the film’s promotions, Akhil revealed about a terrible and unexpected injury because of which he took 16 months break to recover completely. This is unknown to anyone. He apologized to everyone for the long break.
“I can understand that it is a long break after Agent. Half was my fault and half was not in my hands. I had an injury and it took 16 months for me to recover completely from the injury. Accidentally, I slipped on the wet bathroom floor and I had two surgeries on my left hand. The incident took place four months after the release of Agent. I fell on a glass piece and it cut through my vein and my nerve. It injured my left hand’s ring finger and middle finger. They are micro surgeries and the reconstruction took a long time. I had 48 stitches for my left hand. For 7-8 months, I could not lift any weights. It took 16 months to completely recover from the injury” told Akhil.
Murali Kishor Abburu is the director of Lenin and Nagarjuna Akkineni, S Naga Vamsi bankrolled the film jointly. Bhagyashri Borse is the heroine in Lenin.
